BACK ROOM WINES is a fine wine shop located at First & Main Streets in Downtown Napa, Napa Valley. We carry the best small-production, "boutique" wines from Napa Valley and beyond. If you haven't heard of it, then we're doing a good job.
Our greatest selection of wines is Napa Cabernet, but we go well beyond our neighbors' nectar.

This is our mission: find, recommend and sell you the best small-production wines that you can't get from the wine merchant near you. Tiny, new California vintners flock to Back Room Wines, asking us to taste and buy their wines. Our advantage to acquire these brand new wines from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and beyond is priceless!
For example, Switchback Ridge, Scholium Project and Buccella were offered to Back Room Wines Owner /Winebuyer Daniel Dawson on first release before everyone wanted them. Reviews and points didn't matter when we decided to bring them in.

On the phone, on the website, and in the store, we love to recommend the best wines for you. Our recommendations are thoughtful and sincere, always. If we "write it up," you can be sure we'll recommend it to you when you call or email us asking "what we really think." If you like that particular style, and we'll tell you what the style is as best we can, then that particular featured wine is for you. Also, we are just as happy to sell you the $15 bottle as we are the $50 one, if that is what's best. We've been tasting and recommending wines since 1994 here in Napa, and we like to think we're pretty good at it!
