43 year old Alvaro Palacios, famous for his “trophy wines,” makes this stunningly good “entry level” Priorat. Blend: 60% Carignane, 30% Grenache, 10% Syrah and Cab Sauv combined. Great nose of sweet balanced fruit, spices, soil and raw beef. In the mouth, enjoy the forward fruit, smooth texture and taste of the land. Tannins and more spice kick in on the long, old-meets-new-world finish.
