Staete Landt-Sauvignon Blanc-"Annabel" Marlborough, New Zealand-2013

Staete Landt
Sauvignon Blanc
"Annabel" Marlborough, New Zealand

Name means “Land of the Governors.” So named by Dutch “discoverers” of  New Zealand in 1642. Sourced from multiple “Estate” vineyards, each pick raised separately (some with extended lees ageing, some barrel ferment). Classic example of NZ SB: grapefruit, thyme, jalapeño, mint, lime juice. Tangy rather than tart.
