Have you visited the Wine Diary? Well, if you can't get enough of it, here's more. These featured "wines from other parts" are the best wines in the store that come from beyond California. And as we know, there's a lot of them!
Francophile that I am, I devote a full page (growing ever longer) to France. All the other great wine countries get short shrift, admittedly. But the store is small, so I reserve the small space I have for simply the best wines of Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy et al. Lastly, I reserve a page for our neighbors to the north, Oregon and Washington. Fabulous Pinot Noirs, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon and more come from the Great Northwest.
Promoting and successfully selling wines from beyond California sets Back Room Wines apart from the other fine Napa Valley wine shops. Most Napans have come to realize this over the past four years. If you hadn't, now you do! Check out my picks of the litter.
