The Great Grape Study - CHENIN BLANC
Back Room Wines’ "Great Grape Study" Thursday tasting series continues.
Each Thursday night we focus on one grape and pour you classic examples of the grape from different parts of the world.
Tasting a grape from different places, and made in different styles, we feel is the best way to understand the grape.
The Great Grape Study on Thursday, March 6 turns to Chenin Blanc.
Wines from Touraine will dominate the tasting. We'll find fine, classic examples of Chenin from the corners of the world for us to check out together.
Here's the Chenin Blanc line-up:
GRAHAM BECK Chenin Blanc "The Game Reserve" South Africa 2012
FRANCOIS CHIDAINE Montlouis sur Loire "Clos du Breuil" Sec 2012 $26
FRANCOIS CHIDAINE Montlouis sur Loire Moelleux 2009 $36
CRAZY BY NATURE Chenin Blanc "Dry Flint" Gisborne, New Zealand 2012 $19
And one more...
